ALUNA is a project with a trifold approach involving key pillars: Prevention, Investigation and Victim Assistance.
The main objective is to fight against child sexual abuse, child sexual exploitation, and to assist the victims of these crimes.
The ALUNA project will provide global solutions by collaborating with LEAs and organizations worldwide.
ALUNA project is the result of preliminary investigation and engagement with key stakeholders: active members from our LEAs and NGOs partners, that work actively with victims of CSA/CSE crimes.

From each meeting the most important needs and gaps in the fight against CSA/CSE were collected and analysed and based on all these, ALUNA is proposed as a project with a trifold approach involving key pillars:
The ALUNA consortium consists of 16 partners from 5 EU countries (Spain, Belgium, Greece, Ireland and Portugal), 2 Associated Countries (Switzerland and Israel) and 3 Third countries (Brazil, Colombia and UK). All activities will be executed by a well-balanced and experienced group of 3 Universities (UCM, UNIKENT and VUB), 1 SMEs (TRI IE), 3 Research and Technology Organisations (RTO) (KEMEA, ATHENA RC and IDENER RD), 5 Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) (HELLENIC POLICE, PRF, ESMIR, MOPS-INP and BFPD), and 4 NGOs (ICMEC CH, APAV and RENACER, ASBRAD).
The ALUNA consortium combines the expertise of psychologists, sociologists, lawyers, social workers, health workers, computer developers and experts in computer security and forensics, from all over the world with one goal: to fight and helps victims of against child sexual abuse. Furthermore, the activities and role of each partner in the project are fully in line with its core expertise. Hence, the consortium not only brings together the group of experts required to reach the ambitious project objectives, but the outcomes will also have substantial leverage on the specific business of all individual organisations.
